      SM001 I hope someone takes it seriously enough to investigate whether it is true or not. And if it is true, that there are some very real, very serious consequences. And the same if it’s not true, because we don’t need people out here lying about things like this to get their 15 minutes. I don’t know the dude, so I don’t know what to believe about this. I just hope the allegation is taken seriously and dealt with accordingly.

One off historical sex abuse (not serial abusers) cases are almost impossible to prove to the criminal standard because there is rarely any corroborating evidence although some do come to trial here. A small minority of complainants do fabricate allegations. She will undoubtedly have every aspect of her character and motivation scrutinised during the Spanish proceedings - horrible business.

                baggers44 If holding the view that someone is innocent until proven guilty makes me old fashioned then so be it. Neither of us know what happened so I’ll keep an open mind. Should more accusers come to light or if turns out he has previous, that might well change.
