So after it hasn’t worked for me all day, beatport just replied to my support ticket.
They said I was specifically targetted on my Beatport account - its not for the general public.
What they didn’t know is I have 4 email addresses based on genre so I can customise each Beatport login. It was probably my Melodic/Progressive login but I’ve bought a load of other stuff today so they’ve credited it to me after I gave up and bought full price.
Sorry for the false alarm, I didn’t realise it was targetted.
