Plenty of protests in recent times have turned violent i.e. Vaccine passports, lockdowns and blm movement, should they suffer the same consequences on freedom of speech? That’s where it gets close to China then.

I do find it interesting that one extremely unhinged dude, with seemingly no outside financial support, was able to build his own news network that exceeded the viewership of almost all MSM outlets. And while I don’t in anyway condone what he did to the Sandy Hook parents, I would note that spreading fucked up lies with an agenda is exactly what all major news outlets do. The Washington Post and New York Times both printed 100% falsehoods about WMDs to whip us into a fervor about the Iraq invasion. They were getting their info fed to them directly from Langley and ran with it to keep support for what is the most atrocious military act of my lifetime at an all time high. While Alex Jones being persecuted is no skin of my back, I don’t think it is something to celebrate because it shows how impossible it is to have a legitimate independent news network reach the heights required to compete with the dig dawg. The government has been trying to get him on something for years. They don’t give a fuck about the Sandy Hook parents. They just want him gone, because he is outside of their control. The exact same thing would happen to someone who was acting in good faith. It was his ability to control the actions of his large audience that really bothered them.
