Dry-Tinder no update on the comments as to why they suddenly need 100k more. Surely everyone donating now is just giving them money as they reached the target they needed.

This is why these things things seem dodgy to me. If I want people to pay for me in a a go fund me, I would feel like I would need to be very transparent on what the money goes to, as if I get more money than needed then I would feel like I am ripping of the people donating, as they are no longer donating to the cause they think they are.

Hopefully the bloke gets better and the donations help. Then we can see him living it up around the world again on social media…

I have no idea why, but I always assumed that these go fund me things would close once the target was achieved. Maybe increasing the target before the closure is acceptable and a loop hole. Saying that, I am sure that closure was only 24 hours after the start of it, but it has now run for over four days.

Maybe Major Tom’s family had a hand in this. 😂

I’ve seen this before and it seems to be a sliding scale of muggery. ie when they see they are getting close to easily achieving the target they up the ante. Joey Daekin did it on Blue Peter.
