mono-stereo Well… I can only talk from my experiences… after 12 odd years working in nightclubs and festivals I am yet to meet a promoter or club owner who was skint or even close too it. I’d say all of them to a man were doing quite well, certainly well enough to pay for their own legal representation.

But, that said, I’m happy to be wrong if others know otherwise.

I met him once around 92 and he was absolutely crackers. I really didn’t know if he was a mad eccentric off his tits or as you say away with the fairies. He was dressed pretty whacky, from memory a white tuxedo with all ruffles down the front and some red number over it like a Spanish matador. 😂
I read a bit back he’s had repeated mental breakdowns or something like that. Can’t quite recall but it wasn’t good. Would assume drink and drugs involved.

BlainSA need to revisit, been at least a decade. the nite life and fabric mixes were my early introductions to tech house. Or real tech house as I like to call it, before it was bastardised by edm fucks like funk agenda and mark knight. Have the nite life vinyl release too, all bangers.

Clubs are always susceptible to drug deaths/dealers taking hold and having their licenses revoked which is what happened at Fabric. Fuck that for a game of soldiers.
