nicksneddon he has always liked big vocal house records. His legend is built on them. Whitehead, Wainwright and Park were disciples. I used to like Healy in my earliest clubbing days. and there were few similarities. You’d never see Morales playing renegade master or you sure do. As for Sonique, she was a gatecrasher dj. Chalk and cheese

nicksneddon couldn’t agree more mate. Morales’ Dreamlover and Space Cowboy remixes were perfect mid 90’s house records to name just two.

Genuine record collector and enthusiast. So can go on tangents from time to time.

Always found when he was pretty much free to play waht he likes he could quite regularly nail it.

Post Haç I’m not sure he could be arsed. Had some commercial gigs and a radio show where you felt was playing someone else’s agenda and couldn’t be arsed any more.

Also J*y H*'s name doesn’t belong in this thread.

alistair I know what you mean calling Sonique a ‘Gatecrasher DJ’ but actually she did a residency at Cream and then GodsKitchen - I know because they were my regular two clubs and I couldn’t get away from the daft slag, coming on and singing over all her records and ruining everyone’s night.

I don’t think she ever had a Gatecrasher residency (though she undoubtedly will have played there) - the residents were Scott Bond, Judge Jules, Ashley Casselle (Ashtrax) and PvD (monthly).

Just looked at said EM and it’s proper HOUSE not handbag. There are some belters and mainly of black origin. Swing 52, Tito Puente, Kim English, Aphrohead the list goes on. Its aged a lot better than the Sasha BT obsessed ones. Here goes:

bosstrabs true but she was never house/garage and her gimmick was singing over hardbag records. Judge Jules protege who was shite.

Forgotten just how good his remix of Donna Summer melody of love is. Cracker

Nick. Are you putting this together digitally? If so do you have an online store your source from?

Most of the usual suspects have little decent early / mid 90’s house. Unless it’s particularly big from the time or a shite remix.

      Any ideas much appreciated

bosstrabs he hasn’t aged well - saw him at some Hacienda night in Kentish Town 5-6 years ago… looked like Captain Birdseye and was playing utter shite at 130 bps

Jules72 have you listened to his latest productions/red zone mixes? He’s bang on it right now

He was due to play for my mate, but then got banged up in Japan. For the rescheduled gig he played an extended set for nothing. Love the fact that he does about ⅔ diverse remixes with each artist. His production skills are amazing.

Jules72 Sorry, my misunderstanding. Graeme Park looks like a hobo now 😀

Dan is there one you’d particularly recommend? Must be so difficult following in his footsteps. Same with Kevin Saunderson’s son who is decent too

            • Dan replied to this.

Mad_Cyril yes they are all digital, a lot of them from old cd singles and the like. If you can’t get hold of any you want just let me know
