  • The whole energy crisis thing

Dubman Yes that is a big issue currently as it happens, we are literally paying wind turbine operators to turn off, due to poor infrastructure between the production sites and grids, not to mention the lack of battery storage facilities

Just think how much renewable energy is wasted each year this way, not to mention from solar farms

“In 2022, consumers paid £215 million to turn wind farms off, and £717 million to buy gas-powered electricity to make up the difference, according to UK Wind Curtailment Monitor data.”

    Hursty
The incompetence of this Tory government is beyond belief.

Dubman The lack of foresight is the most worrying, at least the current battery projects are going well like BritishVolt

Oh wait a minute… A 30GWh battery storage facility located close to renewable generation farms directly connected to the grid, sounds perfect!

Now in administration due to a lack of funds and seeking a buyout…

EDF energy, from a £21 million loss to a £1.12 billion profit within a year, top work team!

Everyone has been sold a lie and in the process have been robbed blind. If there isn’t a full independent enquiry into these companies then the country is officially dead.

Goldmans are predicting oil prices rising north of $100 a barrel again this year.

Agree with your ‘Buckle Up’ comment.

But don’t forget; ‘Inflation will be coming down soon!’! (LOL)!

We got a new nuclear power plant online this week. It was late 14 years, but better late then never eh?

Homegrove It was late 14 years

Fuckin lollers! I can’t begin to imagine the the issues they must hit, financially and technically, but that’s daft as fuck.

Amps luckily the French company building it had to pay for the complications, instead of the tax payers here. It was a settled sum when Finland bought it from Areva. I think it beat the new Berlin airport with a couple of years. That was really late too.

I checked, Berlin’s new airport was 9 years late.

Blame the new world wide army of “project managers”
