There’s not even any competition really. Panasonic have got their act together and a lot say better than Fujitsu nowadays who’ve always been number 2. We went Fujitsu all round the house apart from bedrooms coz Daikin are nigh on silent. Fujitsu are almost half the price too. Just a bit agricultural compared to the refinement of Daikin. Just don’t buy anything that has blue tooth or WiFi though. Talk to any of the engineers and they all say massive swerve as they are not reliable enough as of yet.
Must admit turning the Aircon on from England when I see the kids are getting hot on my security app does seem rather appealing.

I’m gonna be getting a 2nd hand car very soon. Question for the more car savvy amongst us…..how much value do you place on mileage? Any particular threshold to aim for e.g. 50,000 and below?

I’m totally naive on cars. I see some for sale at about 15k with 80,000 miles on and can’t get my head around it.

Will add that I need to get an estate preferably. Budget about 15k

gcw A car that’s been ragged aound in 3rd to and from Morrisons by some old bat with little or no mechanical sympathy may actually be worse then that Garath Cheeseman repmobile that’s done mega millagage up and down the M40.

Check the service history, check the cam chain/belt status. Ideally get it checked by a mechanic before buying.

Mad_Cyril I’ve got a labrador dog who gets 3 walks a day. Would be good to put him in the back rather than the back seat. SUVs are a bit too high off the ground for him

Mad_Cyril sure but there is no point taking driving lessons unless he’s got something to practice on. Mine’s an automatic, not that I’d let him loose on it anyway. Plus, I’m not having a banger on my driveway!

benson I had always thought that the higher end cars such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc cost more to run in terms of servicing etc? But I will have a look, thanks 👍️
