If that’s his car I would hate to see his trabbs.

It’s not Yant is it?

rhouses If it was me i’d get something with a decent manufactures warranty such as Kia/Hyundai as you daily driver, then try and save a few grand and buy a weekend runabout for the fun factor. You can pick up a decent Z4 with a 6 cylinder engine, Merc SL / SLK or BMW 3 series convertible for about 4 or 5 grand nowadays.

Approved used is another good option. I managed to get an X3 which was 9 yrs old from BMW with a 2 yr BMW approved warranty on it for about £11K all in. Only done 50K miles and was pristine.

This is how the biz tranz’ers roll, you gotta let’em know what’s what from the get go!

IndustryStandard I did think about going second hand in the premium sector, but felt the servicing cost and insurance would be too high. Second hand in India is a little different, roads are awful and Indian drivers are quite aggressive, wear and tear is probably a lot worse than the 1st world.

I’d just go with a Kia Seltos rhouse. You’re already emasculated so what the fuck. You can at least be emasculated with a 7 year warranty 👍

Having ridden on the roads in India I know how aggressive & dangerous other users are. Is it really worth buying a brand new car as the odds of someone crashing into you are very high. The Kia may have a 7 year warranty but that won’t cover you for bodywork etc.

Haha the worst/scariest place I’ve ever driven was Sri Lanka everything was like risking your life.
I’d never go there again based on that. Terrifying.
I think it has more road deaths than any other country in the world. Or did at the time.

It is dangerous but once you get used to it have and go with the flow it’s not that scary especially in busy town centres. Riding at night is much worst as nearly everyone rides around with their full beam on blinding you.

Cankles-McJeggings I’ll happily admit pre-baby, my wife did 90% of the driving. Yes it always looks weird af with me in the passenger seat and the missus behind the wheel, but there is no shame or ego involved when my mental well-being is preserved on trips through bangalore traffic, because she “enjoys” driving.
Took me a whole year just to gather the courage to drive in India again after 5 years in California. And another 6 months to not shit bricks behind the wheel.

Dubman Bumper to bumper insurance has always had me covered. Never had anything serious, touch wood. Car got flooded once during the monsoon, thankfully there’s an act-of-god clause in all policies as well.
I’d be ok if a person who drives full beam dies, but tbf, it’s not like there is enough street/road lighting in this country.

bosstrabs Once had dinner with the guy who brought Peugeot to India. More than a decade after his failure, but he still seemed pretty broken about the whole ordeal.

rhouses I’d be ok if a person who drives full beam dies

            Mahatma Gandhi’s in the house!

Took a ride in my mate’s new Cupra Formentor earlier. You’d be hard pressed to get a better drive at that price. Impressed
