mono-stereo aiming for an estate, but you’re right there are thousands of options and I suppose it’s always a gamble isnt it. On the one hand I just want something that gets me from A to B, but on the other hand it is nice to have a few mod cons on a car.

And agree on the dealership thing - any time I’ve been in a dealership it’s as if they are playing a game to annoy you as much as possible

Can recommend the Williams BMW in Mcr.

The sales team are slimey cunts, but the candy is top drawer.

    Where do I sign??!

gcw I’m looking at the Corolla Hybrid Tour edition. I’m done with 3.0 litre fucking engines. Been given a half decent budget from work 400 notes to run the bugger.

Pulled the trigger on a new Hyundai Tucson last week and very happy with it so far. I’m generally mreh about cars, they are a necessary evil that cost far too much. I just want something that’s comfortable to drive with mod cons inside. This one ticks loads of boxes as you would pay another 10k at least if it was BMW, Merc or Audi for the same spec. All car sales people are nob heads, but at least the lot I used were super efficient and happy to answer every question.

Expecting Amps to land soon to tell everyone he’s made his own car out of shit and twigs

Millsy I’d deffo be after something like that if I wasnt getting an estate this time round - lovely looking motor.

gcw I had always thought that the higher end cars such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc cost more to run in terms of servicing etc? But I will have a look, thanks

This may be from listening to too many Americans - and they might have a slightly different setup over there so people can correct me if I’m mistaken on this - but from my very limited car knowledge Toyota Corollas seem to regularly appear as reliable, inexpensive cars with low servicing costs.

Just noticed Dan mentioned looking at one above as well.

I’m not into cars but. If only I had a pound for every time I heard that..

benson I don’t know gcw well enough to know if that’d be fitting or not.

I know you’re all dying for an update…I have gone for a Kia Optima Sportswagon. Just did a test drive and it ticked all the boxes, so completing the deal tomorrow

Thanks for all the input lads 👍

gcw Wow, you don’t hang around!

Have you kicked the tyres and waggled random stuff under the bonnet so you look like you know your motors?
