whatever The point is made in the Politics Joe vid above that the erosion of our institutions puts us on the path to authoritarianism. These things don’t happen overnight, they happen slowly and gradually as people freely and unknowingly give up their rights
Yes, I have to admit, it was the Politics Joe video that I watched yesterday that made me think of the quote I used attributed to Jefferson earlier!
As J said, it pretty much mirrors entirely what happened in republican Rome, with large scale civil disorder as a result of a corrupt and ineffective senate-leading to the rise of the dictators…
I’m just not convinced she is worth the effort and expenditure/ personally…. But I have found the arguments in this thread both intriguing AND provocative. I don’t know, maybe it’s an age thing, the older you get, the more risk averse you become…. As I said earlier, she’s a threat (potentially) and I STILL don’t think SHE’S worth the effort… (NOT helped by the fact she is clearly as guilty as sin)… [in my book, at any rate].
Although the integrity of the principle MIGHT be, for reasons related to Politics Joe and history….
