Here’s a recent NHS pearler for you Ben’s.
My Mrs’ mum who’s 78 and in pretty bad health all round with immune disorders went into Staffs hospital last week with stomach problems.
They went ahead and did a colonoscopy which she voiced her concern about that she’s not sure she should be having it and worried about having it in her condition having been told previously by a specialist that she shouldn’t be doing so. Anyway they ignored that and whilst performing it they perforated her colon. On reading the notes post fuck up the specialist noted it said on her file ‘Under no circumstances should this patient have any invasive procedures’.
She’s now facing a huge op to repair the perforation that she’s not sure she’ll survive.
