Iâd say Rugby Union pre âofficialâ professionalism was LOL. Bunch of public school boys or West Country farmers singing âwhen the end of the month comes around â and drinking their own piss after gamesâŚâŚno, sorry , itâs still like that .
The caliber of late 80s/early 90s rugby league teams and matches were off the charts . Watch some of the World Club championship games with the best of GB/AUS teams going at it . Obviously nowadays itâs a totally different story with the rise of Union, but still a great sport central to a lot of communities . A bit like football was many moons ago .
