a) See if there are any kind of protests
b) See if the commentary coverage manages to be hugely sycophantic, or actually criticises the regime/organisation/tournament readiness
c) See if there’s any semblance of truth to the Ecuador / bribery rumours
d) Stave off boredom on a Sunday afternoon when I’m feeling shit

Saw this earlier amongst some other predictions. Wasn’t just this one that had England in the final either. Seems some countries really rate us for going all the way.

Is Ronaldo really more dislikeable than Messi, with all his tax evasion?
Fact is they’re both sort of cunts.
Although if England don’t win it, I don’t mind seeing either of them cap admittedly stellar careers with the trophy that evades them. Better than seeing Neymar lift it.

Yeah, I think so. Messi always struck me as more of a humble guy, lacking the arrogance of Ronaldo.
