Sheriff Mouth-gape: “With jordan, we will have the flair and creativity we have been lacking, the central midfield steel that we have missed and the passing range to open up any other side in the tournament, I think it’s coming home, you know!”
Despite being a ’Pool fan I’ve never been that big a Henderson fan. Great engine etc but I’m always amazed at how bad his shooting is. Like how can a pro footballer have such a bad technique?
He’s deffo not shit. It just took me years to see his value in that team.

gcw the three man midfield of him, Gini and Fab between 2019-21 worked with machine like efficiency. Run, press, win it and give it. Brilliant in his simplicity and absolutely vital to our success. Controlled so many games. You always notice him when he’s not there because we’re not as good
Kind of think maybe it’s just better to lose and exit the WC this evening…. The rest of the tournament will be far more enjoyable without the negativity of Southgate’s England…. Enjoy the game lads
Iran could top the group.
Thank fuck big Johnny Hartson not on duties the night
I actually do like Jordan Henderson as player. Maybe not so much these days of course but certainly for a few seasons there just before and after the pandemic, he was top top and quite possibly a top top top player. The sort that is underrated in England but would be a god in Italy or Germany.
The thing is, he just has this really weird energy. I think mongish is probably the closest i could come to articulating it. It’s a combination of that mackem accent, something slightly off about the lower part of his face and the way he carries himself generally. Just wrong.
The board is buzzing after that first half!!!!
