Mad_Cyril Dubman Sounds good Dubbers, get on it ✊ Was at Old Trafford last night, 72,000 in a stadium felt really surreal. Was pretty emotional actually, neither feelings due to the result!!
Along_the_Wire Doha for me at October half term for four nights after cancelling NYC. The rest of my US trips are fully on and booked up.
Along_the_Wire Millsy LOL - the brief was long haul and hot. The hotel is fantastic and I’ve got dinners booked at some tremendous places. Like the Cotswolds, I’m not going for a sight-seeing trip.
mono-stereo Supposed to be going to Kuala Lumpur and Borneo in Jan. Looking doubtful at the moment due to Covid.
Smallman1 Grant going on a pre World Cup recce, top man. If you could scope out the kitchen sinking that would be great.
Along_the_Wire Smallman1 If you could scope out the kitchen sinking that would be great. If you enter Qatar with a kitchen sink in tow, they’ll take your arm off
vinnyt77 Hursty Pretty much tied between Qatar and Emirates of the ones I’ve flown. BA a VERY distant 3rd. I don’t understand how BA managed to take such a huge, open space and make it feel dark and claustrophobic…
Hursty vinnyt77 I thought the layout was much better on Qatar. The bar at the back on Emirates is much noisier than on Qatar and also I thought the stewards weren’t as classy shall we say as Qatar.
Along_the_Wire vinnyt77 The BA Apex suite? I literally don’t know what that means. It’s the new suite with 1-2-1 formation and closed doors and all that shite.
vinnyt77 Along_the_Wire Yeah, that’s the one. Looks decent. Am sure we’ll give it a whirl at some point…
Hursty Smallman1 Huge, the main bar is the best bit up on the mezzanine obvs. Not sure about first though
Smallman1 Hursty Huge, the main bar is the best bit up on the mezzanine obvs. Not sure about first though I was extracting the Michael chief. Cheers though.
vinnyt77 Hursty Food and bev on Emirates tends to win for me, and I find the cabin crew on Qatar a little upright! True about the bar - though I enjoyed having it to myself a coupla years ago…
Hursty Millsy it absolutely is, interspersed with ridiculously expensive hotels and skyscrapers. Middle East all over.
