vinnyt77 I went to Sri Lanka to specifically dive with Blue Whales, but got there and told it was over - they were all in the north. Gutted.

I’m off to Orlando at Easter for a family break. My 4th time doing the Disney thing (and my wife’s 15th!). However we haven’t been for 10 years so I suspect it’s a bit different now.

Anyone been Orlando in last few months? Any tips for park tickets etc.

My mate went in October and said it was mayhem. Cost for queue jump tickets is massive, it wasn’t when I went years ago. How old are you kids? Universal Island of Adventure was great fun when I went - did it near the end of the day and no queues anywhere - did the lot.

If you want an utterly dreadful eating out experience, head to a Black Olive.

gcw my son will me almost 6 when we go, and because of that we will prob only do Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and then one water park. Not worth going Universal as I’ll be the only one able to do rides (my wife will be 6 months pregnant).

Thanks for the heads up re fast pass. I’m going in fully aware it’s a rip off but we do enjoy Florida in the main so should be a good trip

Actually just looked it up - queue jump is about $35 a person for the day and that’ll be well worth it. VIP is eye watering.

Unbroken1 am now more tempted by Sri Lanka than Caribbean, especially as cost of hotels for 2 weeks in Caribbean looks to be £7k-£10k, and they don’t look that great (think I’ve been spoiled by quality of hotels in SE Asia for a quarter of the price)

Going to do some research on 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, most of it by the beach but 3-4 days more central

RichM It’s got ridiculous expensive in the Caribbean. My entire trip to Sri Lanka I reckon will be sub £3k for 3 weeks.
