Along_the_Wire BA. Been smashing the Amex for a while now so built up a decent chunk of avios, plus companion flights. Turns out phoning them also give you better deal than online.

No idea what business class is like with them, prob not great, but got to be better than economy for a 12 hour flight

Both old and new club world seats fold out flat. Some prefer the new version but they’re both great imo.

Also going away with me Julie and her family in April, it’s a surprise so I’m not finding out till I get to the airport.

I’ve got a sneaky feeling it’s Ibiza which means I’ll be dropping the shoulder one night and getting the fregadero (kitchen sink in Spanish) out.

Thinking of getting a cheeky week in Ibiza with the Mrs late June. Been a looooong while since i’ve been there, and definitely wont be going “clubbing” .

Any recommendations for areas of Ibiza a bit off the beaten track (SA/IT) with a bit more of a European/laid back vibe. Decent food/beaches but maybe a bar or two nearby with decent DJs/events? Around Es Cana used to be more chilled back in the day.

Have a look at Cala Vadella, tiny west-facing bay with water like glass. Great sunsets and a smattering of different bars / restaurants. A few paddleboard renters as well so you can go off and explore.

Es Vedra next bay over (Cala d’Hort) has some good fish restaurants.

Sant Josep about 15 minutes drive away with more decent food options. Bit of a change any bendy road though so a good designated driver is a must!

Cova Santa is just through Sant Josep, they do day parties (as well as night), when we were there it was all Organic merchants though so swerved.

Eivissa another 20 minutes further on.

We usually book a villa overlooking the bay, the ones down bayside are a little more ‘rustic’
