hugopal Homegrove and only one at a time can be on holiday, as we don’t do temps but it might make a nice change from doing each other’s wives.
Heno IndustryStandard Best mate went last year, said it was gorgeous but cause the currency is changing to the euro tourists are getting ripped off a bit, he really enjoyed it said loads of history etc
Hursty IndustryStandard we go quite a lot as my brother lives in the capital but has a place on the coast near the party island of Pag. What can I say, its a beautiful country with stunning islands and coastline. Everyone speaks english and the Mediterranean fayre is reasonably priced along with drink
IndustryStandard Is Croatia expensive then? Not an adjective that sits kindly in chez IS at the moment
vinnyt77 Smallman1 Have you been since they adopted the Euro last year? Mrs Vin was there in July ’23, and said prices were way up over previous visits…
benson I’m going a bit war history in August, Going to drive to Normandy to see the beaches and then a few days in Jersey. I went in 1992 and did not really understand the significance of it all. Clearly been watching too many WW2 docs on Netters.
IndustryStandard benson …would be a tough sell to the Mrs that trip…..i’d love it. Only been with school, so didnt really take it all in at that age. More interested in getting a lighter with some boobs on it from the French supermarket.
seanc80 benson My brother went on the Normandy trip last year & thoroughly enjoyed it. He is a trained killer though
Mad_Cyril IndustryStandard More interested in getting a lighter with some boobs on it from the French supermarket Who isn’t (still)?
rhouses Fucking hell, walked right into phuket monsoon. And taxis are fleecing like I’m in Goa. Do appreciate the lush green and barely any people around. @vinnyt77 any decent places to eat? Restaurants not streets?
RichM rhouses I enjoyed this place when we were there a few years ago https://suayrestaurant.com/suay-cherngtalay
