LT42 Only been to Istanbul in Turkey and I’m so disappointed that I didn’t make time to see more of Turkey. To be fair though, when I visited, the Syrian war was just getting really nasty and most of eastern and southern Turkey was off limits. It’s near the top of my list once (if) we’re able to travel again.

Kells77 Nothing to see in the East or South, Kell, unless you go to Adana for food or Antalya for 5 star but its too hot down there during the Summer. The Aegean coast is your best bet, so many places and all top quality.

Would love to Turkey as well especially Istanbul seeing as I’ve flown into it many times but only stayed in the airport. That new international Airport is far to big.

LT42 Yeah my top spots to still visit are Göreme, Antalya, Izmir, Bodrum and Pamukkale natural park. Just need the money and ability to leave my country lol

Phil-McRackin I can imagine! The media are loving reporting that swathes of people are heading to the coast at the moment for some reason. Maybe it’s because it’s summer holidays and the government are actively encouraging staycations to boost the economy?!

Weather wasn’t amazing for much of last week but kids don’t care about that and the beaches where we were…near Dartmouth so it was Blackpool Sands mostly…were all great, not packed and everyone spread out with bags of space.
