Along_the_Wire Ive been too many times - ive had my fill (post divorce from a Turk). One of the downsides was always that it was too hot during the summer so you are going at a good time… be careful driving though - they have a death wish out there….seen the coroner ambulance way too many times for comfort. Food is spectacular of course… go to Nusret (meat) in Yalikavak.

Looks like my India trip will be cancelled. Now looking at Costa Rica for a month instead. Anyone been there. What’s the food & people like.

Costa Rica is beautiful. I’m not sure what your plans are but we stayed in a house on the eastern coast not far from Limon. It was pretty bare bones and we really just surfed a lot. Decent seafood, ’though I understand the Pacific Coast is better in that respect. People were lovely but English was limited. Lots of chickens running around.

Might depend on what your plans are - resort v. doing your own thing; Pacific v. Atlantic; where you stay.

Dubman Same dude. Just feels like Goa not gonna happen. We’ll try and use our flights on Qatar for something else around the same time. Couple of other places in SE Asia that seem to have a much better grip on the virus, and also considering East Africa. Whether they’ll let us in is another question…

I’d also recommend Puerto Escondido in Mexico. A magical place.

Thanks Mate. I’ll be definitely doing my own thing. I’m just thinking about it at the moment. It does sound pretty good. I’m also looking at Tenerife.

Look at Sayulita as well. On the Pacific Cost. Easy and inexpensive to get to as it’s close to Puerto Vallerta. Beautiful, relaxing place. A hidden gem. Can beat $2 mahi mahi tacos and 50 cent Pacificos either. All day long.

Along_the_Wire Business as usual, no dramatic changes reported at all. We were out for dinner last night, restaurants full and people dining inside/outside. Schools are pretty much back. Everyone still wearing masks. No issues.

There was a spike in Ankara but you’ll be well away from there. Drive on I’d say, mate.
