The weather will cheer them up Rich!

Smallman1 their lists are completely random and change every year. In 2019 from the UK they’d picked the Shetland Islands.

Lol. Manchestoh will always be Manchestoh lads. No trendy bars and restaurants can fix that. They’ll be loving the influx of prospective victims.

Who on here went to Sankey’s?

I only went once to see Danny Tenaglia but thought it was mustard.

Been to Sankey’s many times, to see DJs I liked.

Always thought it was a dodgy vibe, my mate’s missus got her purse robbed once, the bogs were always minging. Probably my last choice of big name venue in the North West tbh (but as I said went because of Sasha, Tenaglia and so on…).

For Manchester clubs, the Phoenix was always better.

Of the superclubs 🤮 in the late 90s and early 2000s, Cream and GodsKitchen always had a nicer crowd.

Born in manchetser, lived there pretty much all of my life bar a jaunt in london and the US. Tribal sessions was my main event back in the day but very little clubbing there these days other than the odd one (may go diggers on my)

It’s a good place but the people are better but I would say that as all my mates are here.

It certainly isn’t one of the best cities in the world though! Jaysus

Dave 3rd from the left with the platinum Alf -

Never thought Sankeys as a super club to be fair. Gods kitchen, cream, Golden, gatecrasher, ministry and home but Sankeys was small beer compared to them

Rigs No problem with Mancunians. Always thought the layout of the club was horrible too. Not enough space and on busy nights it was a horrific sweatbox. No escape apart from a sketchy chillout area filled with aggro fuckers.

Compare with Fabric or Cream for example, always space to dance and chillout if you weren’t into Room 1 or the Main Room, there was Room 2 or the Annexe (which in both cases were normally better actually).

Went a few times for Bugged Out, was alright but as Dave said, too packed to throw any meaningful shapes.

Should have come to The End and ledged it with me lads!

bosstrabs when all the aggro fuckers are in the chill out room its time to close the doors

The drive from Stockport to Manchester has to be up there with the grimmest I’ve experienced …. Up there with Mexico City airport to the centre of the capital - miles and miles of slums…. Levenshulme is no different. Lived there till I was 18 and won’t be going back.

That ADD launch party was brilliant. Sasha was immense. I went loads and never had any major trouble, apart from with the owner, who was a bellend.

Smallman1 had many a great night in the end. Most memorable was probably one nye where it was Layo & Bushwacka all night then Laurent Garnier came on about 5am

bosstrabs Went several times during my uni years - best mate was at Uni there

Fair description I’d say - bogs a cesspit and fucking sweaty. There was a spot behind a speaker stack in one of the corners which weirdly sticks in my mind as ridiculously hot.
Had some good nights though - Sasha / Diggers natch

As Phil Mck said Tangled @ Phoenix was a better experience - Terry Pointon resident?

Also went to the Hacienda just before it shut - 15th anniversary with Sasha & Garnier playing
