There is whiff of hypocrisy. Fabric got stick from some on here for being shall we say vigilant and playing ball with the authorities. Can’t have it both ways.

Hardly ever see a metal detector, but that makes sense, but to be more draconian on drugs is just stupid - what the fuck do you think people are there to do in the first place? What did the police suspect was going on in the club?
Dry-Tinder yeah, I was sceptical when they opened and announced the autumn line up..trying to do a Printworks/WHP type thing. Might have have worked if they threw in a few UB40 tribute bands here and there.
Phil-McRackin made a mistake selling it as a Renaissance event. The name means nothing to your average Brummie clubber. Maceo Plex and friends would have done a lot better.
I imagine most people at the event probably dropped any drugs that they had on the dance floor as they were leaving, on account of the place about to be littered with police looking for a murder weapon. Probably about the only sensible thing that anyone did that night.
alistair not quite true, they have had a few Rennaisance nights over the last 5 or 6 yrs with Solomun, Tales of Us, Dixon, Sasha, some at the same venue where Crane is and all advertised as Rennaisance nights and they have so done well by all accounts. They also had there 20th Birthday here so it’s a well known brand in the city. Maybe it’s just more difficult to get the punters out of the Care Homes for long enough.
I can’t see any previous Renaissance events in the exact location as Crane except the one in December. The others seem to have been at The Mill, or Custard Factory which are a lot smaller. I would be surprised if Jeoff Oakes did a 5,000+ event since Wild In The Country in 2004
Phil-McRackin They’ve got many rivers to cross to get their licence back.
Dry-Tinder knew they’d had a couple at the mill but thought they’d been there at least once with one of them, maybe not. Think they used Boxxed too. Quite a few warehouse spaces down there.
Dan canals, lots of canals
Phil-McRackin canals, lots of canals
Here’s a vid of Ed on his last trip to Birmingham:
hugopal Ed would have had less choice about entering the canal.

Phil-McRackin the people filming were probably encouraging him under duress.
They’re all holding lumps of Shropshire Blue off camera or something.
This is a someone who works at my place attempting to jump a canal in the city centre. Got £250 from You’ve Been Framed
Not surprised by this to be honest.
Now getting involved in US politics ? Busting out a new box fresh white shirt for the occasion , rather than sleeveless wife beater ?
…on his reels feed on FB as that link appears to be unsharable
IndustryStandard can you paraphrase? Don’t do FB
