Clubbing wise, it had to be Temptation at the Ally Pally in 98. Sasha on EM duties and Underworld and New Order live. Unforgettable night
Your favourite New Years Eve?
Not the best night clubbing but the millennium NYE at Gatecrasher was superb. Group of us went up and got wrecked for a couple of days. Most of the fun was after we left Gatecrasher. Sasha played at 6pm or sometime around then, so it was an early start on the narcs that night
Enjoyed seeing the Millennium in with Carl Cox and Ralph Lawson on Bondi Beach I must say.

Sounds romantic.
Cooing at the fireworks whilst gently cupping Ralph to the sounds of lapping waves. Carl, wearing crocs and a pouch, gently easing in the second knuckle as the display climaxes
Turnmills London not sure exactly what year around 01 or 02, was The Chemical Brothers and Lottie etc top night onto Fabric with a load of dolly moths! Our friends family owned a pub in Archway so a gang of us were literally sleeping on the seats and on the floor, bar etc was a blistering few days.
2020-2021 was a good recent one. Had 6-7 people over (Finnish covid rules at the time were gatherings of under 10 people were if not fine then not prohibited) and we listened to the Digweed NYE Bunker-stream. Everyone had a good time, we ate tacos and nachos and nobody got covid.
I was at this one myself, I haven’t listened to the mix in years
Lol, Gatecrasher NYE was my worst new year. All went down hill after Sasha for us, but that’s another story for another thread
Was that the one where they gave you a gold credit card ticket? Was at that too.
Cankles-McJeggings don’t remember a gold credit card ticket, mine was just a paper ticket with ‘It Will Always Be With You’ in gold or silver lettering on it.
I do remember the ticket was £125 which was so much higher than a normal club ticket for the late 90s ….but obv the line up was very good.
Aah this was just Sasha at the arches. Nye sometime late 90s
Yeah, I was at that one too. Shit sound system, poor sets, freezing cold, loads of claims that never happened, like the free champagne that everyone was going to get at midnight, mega expensive drinks.
I had a friend that bought VIP tickets for an additional £100 only to receive an empty room with a few tables and chairs for the additional cost. This was before the days that Scot Bond took to beating the fuck out of artists instead of paying them.
Went to Gatecrasher in 98 and 99. 98 was at the normal home and the disco biscuits were ace before going back to the hotel and listening to Sasha from the Ally Pally on the wireless.
Millennium eve at Don Valley was just utter shite, overpriced, cold and utterly over hyped.
Only other one I remember was Renaissance in 1996 somewhere in Nottingham with some fluffy clouds bereft of atmosphere.
Stuck to house parties after that.
