                                  zackster it’s 20B, Zackster, since July. Many organisations and countries have benefited from the foundation. What difference does it make whether its altruistic or for “tax purposes”? The outcomes are the same. Unless someone can show me evidence he’s profiting off his own foundation (he’s not) then its all a load of presumptive nonsense. And before any knucklehead has me down as a “Gates Fan”, its possible to understand how his foundation works and still be skeptical of his motives in other areas. Funky wrote “hes profiting off his foundation”. If hes doing it just for taxes then he’s “saving” money, not profiting, which holds a more sinister connotation implied, right?

                                      Corporate tax helps build infrastructure, roads, bridges, hospitals and schools etc etc.

                                      By not paying it or by using tax avoidance / minimisation schemes, you’re doing a disservice to society and putting added pressure on others to find that money.
