Another driver of the sheer number of guns in the US is the sheer size of the place and the fact the police would take ages to respond to an incident. I lived in Nashville for a few years and you’d go miles then see a really nice house on acres of land. A tempting treat for anyone who wanted to rob. Normal run of the mill people would have a gun at home and no one would bat an eyelid. Its so inbuilt in the culture there.
The whole culture of fear relayed in Bowling for Columbine is spot on. Americans are bred on fear, the bogie man, the native americans, the Brits, the north/south, communists, immigrants…..the list goes on. Arm and be ready!
Biden isnt the man to sort this out and who knows how it ever will in my life time. Apathy has just set in. A cost of living in America.
