“The man, the legend, the DJ’s DJ is back to complete his trilogy of mixes on Global Underground with #GU45 Brooklyn.”
"We are so excited to present to the world the 3rd and final instalment in Danny Tenaglia’s GU Trilogy, Danny’s mixes have been a huge part of our DNA for many years, with his seminal Athens and London mixes forming the part of many people’s favourite DJ mixes of all time, Brooklyn is a stunning addition to that heritage and we can’t wait to release this album to the world.
Features music and remixes from Basement Jaxx, Moderat, Radio Slave, Pig&Dan, Guy J, Dino Lenny, Denney & D.Ramirez, Jay Lumen, Age of Love as well as Danny Tenaglia himself."
I’ve not been too keen on what I’ve heard from DT of late, albeit I don’t think he’s quite jumped the shark to the extent Sasha has. Will be intriguing still to hear what he comes up with. Some interesting names in the tracklist, though the inclusion of ‘Age of Love’ concerns me - no one needs to hear that again, in any form, even if it’s just the acapella.
It’s also good to see that with this release, in addition to the previous Amelie Lens release, those at GU seem to have regained some sanity a bit and are being a bit more true to their roots, rather than propagating the plodding tech-house bilge they’d put out in the previous decade.
