It near enough is though - the two leagues whose teams collectively do best in Europe will get an extra spot. In the last 3 seasons the PL has comfortably been first for coefficient points in Europe, with a large gap to the third placed league.

It would require a major drop-off in performance from the top teams for it not to be the case. You still just putting 4 teams in your post seems lazy and ill-informed.

SM001 Hugo continuing on a merciless quest to systematically ruin anything and everything thats meant to be just a little bit of fun.

I’m trying to improve it - because using 4th spot as a cut-off point will likely be redundant come the end of the season when people will actually be debating about who could sneak the 5th spot - not who will scrape top 4.

I don’t expect I’ll be correct about this, such things have been notoriously hard to predict over the years. But I’ll just put something down anyway.

RichM and as I pointed out to him already just top 4 is an outdated notion.

He acknowledged it with then saying Newcastle 5th, but for some reason he can’t simply edit his original post to also add them to it, thus resulting in this mess of a thread with all the other lazy lemmings also just saying top 4 as if nothing has changed.

It’s pretty much as silly as hypothetically only asking us to predict the bottom 2 - as opposed to who’s going to be relegated.

Everton aren’t out of the mire either. I don’t rate Dyche, he got away with it last season and he’s done absolutely fuck all to improve things.
They would be my next team in the mix. He’s no miracle worker and that squad is shit.
