Homegrove Mark Normand doing comedy in Germany

Seems I didn’t miss anything.

YouTube keeps serving me Shane Gillis videos, so I gave his netflix special a go… laughed hard, perhaps more than I should have. He’s like a self-aware Kenny Powers, not entirely sure if it’s shtick or if he’s genuinely like this… either way, hilarious.

Also… he might be my boy, but I’m glad Hasan Minhaj is being called out for the shoddy stand-up comedian that he is. He’s garbage and always has been.

Homegrove Now that’s a good joke.

It doesn’t work:

“The British Isles are a group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean off the north-western coast of continental Europe, consisting of the islands of Great Britain, Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Inner and Outer Hebrides, the Northern Isles (Orkney and Shetland), and over six thousand smaller islands.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Isles

I think terms to have been used for this joke should have been ‘biologically’ and also ‘geographically’.

That would be a better discussion and allow us to have a technical comedy workshop on this issue.

What was said cannot be dismissed at this point as…“It doesn’t work”.

bosstrabs Absolute dogshit and about standard for Hannu comedy

Not funny and doesn’t work. Other than that it’s great.

Front row tickets to Daniel Sloss in March. Went in blind, friend is organising. Hope he’s good.

Dave Attell’s new special on Netflix was disappointing. I mean I did laugh out loud a few times, and he’s still sharp and fast, but other than that I struggled to imagine showing it so someone who I’ve been talking him up as a legend. Well, at least he’s not turned into a “ooh I’m so edgy” comic like Gervais or an angry unfunny rich man like Chappelle.

Ramy’s new special on hbo is solid.

Langston Kerman - Bad Poetry now on Netflix is very good.

Kyle Kinane is coming to UK next year. Top three comedians for me at the moment, and most of his specials are free on Youtube.

New Anthony Jeselnik on Netflix is fantastic.

Homegrove saw the set live with sprinkles of India 3rd world bits in November. Enjoyed it. Organizer hooked me up with front row seats. Luckily he didn’t pick on us. Apparently no one in Delhi ‘got it’.

The set is even tighter on Netflix.

What are the odds that none of Homegrove’s politically correct comedian recommendations are any good?

Lol at anyone thinking Jeselnik is politically correct.

Anthony Jeselnik would be the last comedian anyone would recommend to support any sort of politically correct claim.

rhouses how the fuck does any comedian worth their salt miss out on the comedy goldmine sat in the front row in their mobility scooter?

Homegrove I have to say I didn’t think it was that good. A poor mans Ricky gervais imo.

Millsy Marc Maron, Daniel Sloss, Vir Das (twice), Anthony Jeselnik have been front row… I get decent amount of eye contact, and a look of, “this guy is a stud living the thug life.” The cute/hot wife beside me might work in my favour too.

benson Jeselnik’s deadpan delivery makes it funnier, because you’re mostly thinking is this guy real. Gervais comes off genuinely smug and full of himself.

I love that Jeselnik always surprises me. I can almost never guess the punchline.

I like him but i find him a little one dimensional.

            But enough about Millsy.

Who needs standup when COMEDY COMER is in da haus?

seanc80 I like him but i find him a little one dimensional.

              But enough about Millsy.

              Oi oi!

Fuck me, Stewart Lee was brilliant tonight. His shtick was attacking the Netflix millionaire mob and he murdered them. Brilliant.

I’ve been seeing a lot of clips of Brian Holtzman lately, not everyone’s cup of tea and he makes lots of people leave his shows but I think he’s hilarious.

Went to see ‘Stewart Lee VS the man wulf’ last night. Thought it was one of his best.

Wally Yeah, was brilliant when I saw him just before Christmas
