alistair you are comparing him to leading men (random ones at that) which Tom never was.

Tom Sizemore now gone. The man defined the 90s. So many great roles back then. The scene at the start of Heat when DeNiro slams Waingrow’s head on the table at the diner, and the one guy looks up, and Sizemore gives him the dead eyes-look “you really want to get involved in this” is great. Full OTT in True Romance, Scagnatti in Natural Born Killers… I could go on and on.

Was reading about that a bit back. Apparently the reflection from the sun off one side of the building nukes a building not far away from it for 2 hrs a day at certain times of the year making it unbearably hot and extreme UV’s. Another building below one side says the wind deflects off the concaved plane in a cyclonic effect and keeps blowing bits off it.
Sounds like a cunt of a building.

Thought that had been corrected not long after it was built?

        Homegrove

If films were a dance genre, then Heat would be muscular prog. Great film and a great supporting performance from Sizemore. Especial in that diner scene. RIP

In 2005, he went back to jail for violating his probation by failing a drug test, after being caught trying to use a prosthetic penis to fake the results. According to prosecutors, Sizemore had been caught once before trying to use a similar device.

          Ledge!

Homegrove Hadn’t realised he was the guy in heat who gave the eyes. Great scene.

Mad_Cyril it was fitted with shading a year later, but it’s still the ugliest large building in London and completely ruins both views of the City and the atmosphere walking around the old streets in the Bank/Fenchurch Street area looming over everything.

The views from Duck and Waffle are sensational.

            Top skyscaper.

I only heard about it 2nd hand about 6 months ago but was told it has to be sorted straight after it was detected.

Was wondering if I’d heard one of those modern fables!

Wouldn’t surprise me if it turned out that Derm and Hans Christian Andersen were friends.

Duck and Waffle is in Heron Tower, which is a completely different skyscraper designed by different architects - what’s the point you’re trying to make?!

hugopal I think he’s saying that the views from the Heron Tower are sensational. Given that you had said the Walkie Talkie building was ugly, he’s merely offering his opinion on a good skyscraper
