The RIP thread
Chadwick Boseman of Black Panther fame. Colon cancer at 43. That’s really sad. RIP.
Im not someone that’s easily shocked, however waking up to that news this morning absolutely floored me. I still can’t believe it.
Just seen this on the news. Way to young to lose his life to that awful disease. Rip.
The man did most of the movies he was famous for after the diagnose in 2016. RIP.
Gutting news. 43 is no age at all. RIP

Erick Morillo rumoured to be dead.
EDIT and TMZ confirmed it. Not the best source, but they claim Miami PD have confirmed it.
Wowsers. I can’t help but wonder if it was self-inflicted given his recent legal troubles. Packed those 49 years to the brim in fairness to the guy.
Was up on a rape charge, correct?
…was scheduled for a court hearing Friday

Olenna Tyrell kopped it
In her day Rigg was absolutely off the charts smoking. RIP
Millsy Only just realised she played Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones. Great actress.
Alan Minter RIP, British boxing legend and former world middleweight champion
RIP Toots.Legend.
That really is sad, we saw him live in 2012 and he was like a 20 year old on the stage. A great performer. RIP
That’s is sad news. I also saw them live about 10 years ago. They were excellent. One of the best roots reggae bands out there.
Yes, big shame, Toots and the Maytals are what first got me into ska, rocksteady etc.
RIP Sir Terence Conran -
Eddie Van Halen has jumped off this mortal coil
Jump is a right tune.
RIP Eddie.
RIP Eddie. Absolute legend!

Eddie Van Halen! No way! How the hell did he kick before David Lee Roth.
Fuck that sucks. Idk why but I loved Van Halen when I was little. Getting shit faced and blasting some of the epic Sammy ballads later.

One of the coolest Rock and Roll moments of all time.
Eddie Van Halen going early is a HUGE loss for the rock music fraternity. That guy was a legendary guitarist. Gone too soon!
Cheers Loops!
Van Halen bros’ back up vocals were sublime. Like a choir of heavenly angels.

This Limp Bizkit story is awesome

I can only hear this in Trump Voice.
What an insane vid. If I can ever pull together more than 20 min of a live techno act, I’d love to do it like Sammy here.

EVH was a notoriously odd person who apparently had no sense of humor - literally laughed at nothing.
EDIT
"In a new interview with Billboard, the Van Halen co-founder and guitarist reveals he’s not familiar with Guns N’ Roses, Radiohead, or Metallica. He also claims to know only one Ozzy Osbourne song Randy Rhoades played on – and it’s “Crazy Train.” Eddie insists he’s never listened to the music of a single band that opened for Van Halen, and says his favorite thing to listen to in the car, is the motor,
“I don’t listen to anything,” he tells Billboard. “It’s an odd thing, but I’ve been this way my whole life. I couldn’t make a contemporary record if I wanted to, because I don’t know what contemporary music sounds like.”"
That’s just not true, but fine nonetheless.

That song just sounds like Journey. But still pretty good. [EDIT} until the solo. EVH shreds. I worry for the state of our man Zack when Springsteen kicks.
KLANG. I met Hagar once at his dumb bar in Cabo San Lucas. He was nice enough for as drunk as I was. I must’ve been 19. Could’ve been some Mexican cosplaying Hagar, mind.
