Fent is a serious problem around here. We had 3X as many deaths from that (700) as we did Covid in 2020. Heroin is essentially impossible to get these days. Big issue is that it’s not hospital grade fent; it’s black market garbage from China via Mexico so the quality and potency is all over the place. And it’s not like the street level dealers are Louis Pasteur. They have no idea what they’re doing.
Do find it a bit hard to sympathize if I’m being honest. This isn’t 2000 anymore. People didn’t know better with Oxycontin and the like. Firmly blame Purdue Pharma back then. But today? You know damn well what you’re getting yourself into when you start mucking about with opiates in 2021. We all know how the story ends.
