Thanks Lads. It’s been a very difficult the last 5 weeks or so but especially the last 7 days. We tried our very best to my keep her at home but we couldn’t cope. So she spent the last few days in our local hospice. It was made more difficult as my mum used to work there for well over 15 years.
I’ve had some very difficult but much needed conversations with both my parents and have grown much closer to both. I feel pretty numb at the moment but somewhat glad that my mum is no longer suffering. I held her hand as she took her last breath which was very hard. I’ve now got to look after my father who married her when she was just 18 years old.
