Old-Dutch Why are kids not taught politics and about real life finances - mortgages, interest rates, inflation, loans, taxes, VAT etc.?
I do wonder this myself. I’ve worked with relatively bright people in the past who turned out to be financially illiterate and have gotten themselves into all kinds of bother as a result.
It should be mandatory - in a curriculum that all kids have to learn

I didn’t have any classes on it Dave and the school I went to is one of the best ‘grant maintained’ schools in the county based on GCSE and A-Level results.
There was no PSE - we got Religious Education

Whenever any lad walked past they would do the walk that would make it look like they were descending some stairs that weren’t there. This happened almost every day for a whole school year. Hilarious & Co.

Lol, the old classic. Can’t beat the raw bants from school. Our classroom doors had small square glass portholes at door handle height, it was so year heads and such could peak in and check without having to disrupt the class, every now and then a cock & balls or arse cheek would appear squashed up against the glass. Great days.
