Corbyn was quite interesting in a nostalgic kind of way, the political equivalent of seeing a Morris Minor on the roads in 2020, you think “oh, look at that, isn’t it interesting? I wouldn’t want one, mind” and then most of the country ended up plumping for the Alfa Romeo which is also crap and forever breaking down, but at least looked modern and promised a lot.

QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles running a global child sex-trafficking ring is plotting against President Donald Trump, who is battling them, leading to a “day of reckoning” involving the mass arrest of journalists and politicians. There absolutely are global sex trafficking rings - whether they have anything to do with Satanism, Trump being a super hero and other various translations of Qanon is beyond me. (They don’t).

I had a friend who was actually very accomplished. He was a guest “life coach” on that show “Queer Eye For The Straight Guy” (which was a big tv show at the time). I think he thought that would propel his life forward into something. But it never quite happened. And I think it crushed him. He’s now gone off the deep end; claiming he’s seen planes with chemicals spraying stuff onto the masses. He’s also now organizing anti-mask rallies; speaking out against vaccines. He’s really lost his marbles. Shame, as he’s very charismatic and has a good heart. Just let his demons get the best of him. We obviously don’t chat anymore.
Yeah I’ve a couple of mates back home that spend all day on FB. I get the odd meme sent to me, you know the ones, sometimes they have Bill Gates, sometimes lines like “WAKE UP” and various others including debunked pics of pumping stations on airplanes. Some people and the Internet aren’t a good mix. “I remember when I was a kid and there were no trails in the sky, EVER.”
