Homegrove it’s mainly because over here we allow large housing companies to build all our homes which means they are the cheapest, smallest, shittest quality going so they get rich off the back of it.
I’ve heard first hand from the builders it’s cheaper for them to throw the houses up and pay for the odd snagging issues as most people give up and pay for the work themselves.
We don’t even mandate eco building either, it’s a shambles.
Self build or community build is a rarity over here
