Will there be any official statements from the Johnson voters on here?

whatever too many voters couldn’t read the situation, were taken in by the image and were unable to read between the lines

Terrifying innit!

Class act from Andrew Brigden Tory MP when asked in Parliament just. ‘Would it not have been better if Johnson had left with something like being ill rather than this catastrophe?’ Brigden - Who’s to say he’s not ill? Depends who you ask. 😂👍

whatever You’re missing the point, we cant take on the elites wont matter if its labour in there, its all part of the one fkn thing how can you not see that. Its a fake democracy we live in even if there was some how an independent that spoke for us and we trusted he wouldn’t last as he wouldn’t be a part of that club.

Things will never change i wont be voting ever again. They all supported lockdowns and have caused the great depression simple as that it happened in front of our eyes. The elites got richer and we got poorer and guess what poverty kills way more than a mild virus.

They do not want the common man to unit and take them on they do everything in their power to not let that happen.

They reckon it would backfire against labour as although they got rid of Boris. They would still vote for him just so the conservatives stay in power & not labour.

Along_the_Wire About the only good thing that came from covid was working from home and now hybrid working only in the office 1 day a week. So no retiring for now! Its others i feel for now who have young kids on minimum wage it must be a real struggle, likes of labour and snp act like they care and will change things will they fk. Boris was an idiot but he will be replaced by another and there is nothing we can do.

That’s not a good thing, I fucking despise it

Yeah but he once shook hands with Gerry Adams, so we’ve got that at least

      Funky

Your point seems to be that ’you can’t change anything, so what’s the value in even attempting to’ and I think you are now saying in a deterministic sense that it is impossible to change systemic problems. What I said in response is that the apathy about politics is the same reason that the likes of Johnson are allowed to thrive.

The thing that scares people like Johnson is people who are prepared to scrutinise and hold them accountable for what they do. This is largely why Johnson attempted/threatened to defund the BBC and Channel 4. He knows the power of the media and is cognisant of how it can shape public opinion. This is an example of checks and balances that exist that are capable of effecting change. The problem I alluded to is the prevalence of the right wing media that people readily accept because they have given up thinking.

For understandable reasons, people have become despondent about politics and adopt the idea that politicians are all as bad as each other and revert back to looking at Insta or what they are going to buy next on Amazon, which fuels the problem.

Don’t just assume that the “elites” have it all stitched up and nothing will ever change. There are things that you can do like voting to shape the outcome of elections. Your vote counts. You can get involved in political discussions with family, friends and online. You can join your favoured political party and lend your support (even if they are not exactly the party you want but would dislodge the Tories). You could write your own blog, you could make your own YT videos on topics related to it. You could volunteer with a political party and assist in campaigning, you could join other groups, you could make music with a political message etc. etc. Nothing is guaranteed to work and you may not see any change in your lifetime but there is stuff you can do to contribute towards something better that is 100% better than “oh well, fuck it”.

whatever Strong voting in either direction helps nudge the overton window along.

          A lol for Heno!

          That is brilliant!

Tom Tugendhat at 8-1 looks a decent shout for my money. A clean skin, no nonsense ex-army type.

zackster Don;t forget that Ros Atkins used to be a DnB DJ in Brixton.

Just retail money I suspect. Can’t see the party throwing their weight behind anyone so loyal to Johnson.

C_J Tom Tugendhat at 8-1 looks a decent shout for my money. A clean skin, no nonsense ex-army type.

Has he even thrown his TugendHAT into the ring? LOL

So labour will trigger a vote of no confidence at the start of next week if he hasn’t left by then. They are not prepared to let him stay in situe. The Queen can also, at that point, force him to leave but as it’s not happened for around 300 years everyone is sketchy on how that will actually happen 😂 Especially as old Queenie doesn’t seem to know what day it is anymore that may be difficult! What a fucking farce.
