Amps means fuck all though (unfortunately). A petition doesn’t change how the political system works. Plus they have already stated that nothing will change based on the petition.
It does bring into question on whether the general population should have a say on when a GE should be called. If say 90% of this country wanted the Tories out, then in theory there should be an election, as the govt are not representing what the population want. However it would have to be a high number who want a GE for it to happen, otherwise we will get too many calls for a GE.
