Excellent stuff this, Zack
Thanks guys. Pleased to be reading this.
Did your cat jump on the keyboard when you were typing out track 15??

Lol at sequencing. Up there with programming. Or putting two tracks next to one another without mixing as it’s known.
Oxford dictionary -
sequence
/ˈsiːkwəns/
1.When you let one track run its cause and play another one just as that one has finished.
- Not mixing.

I’ll have to defer to your expertise; who would know not mixing better than you?
Apology accepted
Opting in for a back to mine sesh with zackster is akin to shooting yourself in the head.
I went to Harvey’s MOS residency a few times and he mixed about 80% of the tracks and it worked… mostly all early doors/obscure stuff… sub 110 bpm.

When he wasn’t busy playing one record after another he’d spend the whole time on twitter and nibbling a bale of hay so at least you wouldnt have to talk to him.

What exactly are you on about? Got hospitals on the brain. Hope you’re not there posting mind. Should be heads down grafting for the nation.

Its the better way to do it. I did a beat matched chill mix a few years ago and it just didn’t have the same feel to it. All the classic 90s chillout mixes were not beat matched, and those are the ones that always stuck with me. Being able to instantly change the bpm and vibe is more important than the 2 min transition when playing this kind of stuff, imo.
