Like most things, all that happens is we end up getting taxed more to deal with the issue, whilst eye watering subsidies contine to be given to the worst offenders.

                That’s totally true, it’s just that the average person has zero impact, regardless of their behaviour. Until we start addressing corporate greed, which will never happen, there will be no significant change. AI might disrupt everything enough to create long term positive changes, but that will come with a couple of decades of pain during the transition.
