I don’t really want to defend Coldplay as they are not exactly a favourite of mine but you’d have to be churlish least of all tone deaf or a pseudo hipster to deny they have some great songs especially in their first three albums. Clocks, Yellow, Shiver, Trouble, Talk, In my place, Violet Hill. You’d have given your right arm to have written them
