The first two Kings of Leon albums are amazing. No fillers, proper journey.

LT42 I’m not into Radiohead myself, depressing shite but I don’t think they’re a bad band, they’re brilliant musicians.

Yeah hence my little caveat. Undoubtedly brilliant, innovative, and iconic. Just never want to listen to them and that their insane fan base cannot seem to understand that makes them a bit overrated to me. No, I’m not missing out. It’s okay.

Love radiohead. Loads of great tracks. Can understand how some might hate them though.

First cunt to suggest someone else just “doesn’t get” a band they like has to move in with ed for a month…

I always liked Fake Plastic Trees, Karma Police, and his personal Erasure. There I think his dreary vocal style makes sense and the songs are really good. But 60 minutes of that? Yeah hard pass for me. Same with Burial. Amazing stuff when he’s on top form. But I think I’d be in a suicidal state after too much of it. Maybe the California sun has softened me too much; can’t appreciate the foggy melancholy anymore.

jonattonyeah that’s fair, i honestly love untrue as well, great album if not a little bleak. thom yorke’s production is so good, it overcomes everything else for me.

Idk if they are even rated anymore, but Genesis. My wife had never heard any of their tunes, so we listened to a bunch on a car ride. It was so much worse than I remembered. I had no recollection of them having been a prog rock band, but I’ll be damned is that isn’t what I was listening to.

zackster There are essentially ‘two Genesis’. They were a folk then prog rock band until Peter Gabriel left. Then they became what is wankily but I suppose accurately termed a ‘power pop’ band when Phil Collins took over singing and de facto leader duties.

I don’t particularly care for either incarnation, even though I like some prog rock and love some similar eighties pop acts such as Huey Lewis and the News.

bosstrabs We listened to Duke which I remember my parents listening to and acting like it was god speaking. I had thought I liked that album, but man was it shit.

Invisible Touch is an absolute monster.

Still remember the I can’t dance and land of confusion videos. LOC rocked hard.

The album review chapters in the book American Psycho were outstanding.

          Millsy Quality track that.

My fave Genesis track of all time is this.

The Beautiful South. I’d rather drink Kenny Noyes Apricot skinned prison hooch from the slop out bucket than listen to their sweetcorn in a turd melodious piss.

Never heard of 975 or twenty-one pilots

Cheers.. just had a look listen. They sound like the type of pretty rock music they play on local radio stations across the world.

Dubman yep, difference is these guys have made it big globally, are critics darlings, yet their music is so vapid and forgettable. At least Coldplay have some great songs

Dave obviously hasn’t heard the one with calvin harris yet!
