Well I’ve not heard either of those two live before.

Or do you mean artists I’ve never heard of before? Because on that front I’ve heard of most of the artists on the main live gig and dance music stages, and would generally give them a massive swerve.

Pretty tall order to know every act/dj at Glasto, it took me 30 mins to scroll through them all!

For one thing, I don’t think my tastes are really targeted by the Glasto bookers to begin with.

But on the DJ front I do think I’ve heard of most of them already, and for the ones I’ve not heard of it’s not very difficult to quickly realise they’re not for me by who they’re surrounded by on the bill and/or a quick glance at their bio; e.g. if they’re sandwiched between two DJs who I already know mostly play deep house then the odds of them being someone I’d care for would basically be zero.

Regarding the live acts, I’m even more particular, and there are never very many active ones who I’m that in to. Especially nowadays I’m lucky if I discover one new band a year who I think i could be bothered to see live, let alone actively want to. And the odds of such a band being one I hadn’t already discovered on the internet but instead stumbled upon at some wanky acoustic stage at Glasto will again be basically zero.

hugopal you are massively missing the point of going to Glastonbury, which is about the experience of just being there with your mates having a laugh and seeing lots of entertainment in some form.

Also based on your view of the lineup you clearly have very very specific taste in music, as the glasto line up pretty much covers most genres of music somewhere over the weekend. That to me is the massive bonus of glasto, in that you just see so much different and often random music.

Anyway we now know you don’t like most music at Glastonbury, so not one for you. Each to there own

No I’ve not had the chance, but I’m aware that they tend to have good lineups. This year they have maybe 8 acts I’d like to see (as opposed to the 2 at Glasto).
