Dubman it was a bit odd but was alright…although it was beautifully elegant compared to the abomination later on
Glastonbury 2024
I’ll just say what no one else has the minerals to, bar a few tracks here and there, Orbital are fucking awful.

Stark contrast between the vibrant and live Jessie Ware and the synthetic bland of Dua Lipa.

alistair I still want my money back from their so called farewell tour in 2004. Fucking false advertising. We gave them the money to fuck off. I feel cheated.
Oh, Lush 3.1

Peggy Gou was playing to a big crowd on one of the outdoor stages last night.
Made me wonder why non of the “A” list Prog/GU DJs never really got the chance to play on one of the bigger stages.
Sasha and Digweed would still be a big draw I reckon, I suppose the larger stage bookers have never heard of them.

I’m sure if they’re putting on Orbital they’ll have heard of S&D.
Sasha played Glasto in 2022 and also 2010 and 2003.
Diggers seemed to play Glasto in 2022 and 2019. Probably others as well.
mono-stereo Was she performing her album or dj’ing?

hugopal I think when Sasha’s played he was on at the glade, and maybe Sancho Panza?
Just seems like the Park Stage that Peggy Gou was on was higher profile, available to watch live on iPlayer etc. Similar with Disclocure on the Other stage, although I suppose they’re big with the kids. The only DJ from “our generation” I can remember on the Other stage is Oakey.
alistair She was DJ’ing. I can’t say I was impressed.

mono-stereo Disclosure are very popular and have collaborated with Sam Smith, Lorde etc. Peggy Gou’s not in that league (either in terms of popularity or quality) but you can see she’s definitely got her eye on that market.
hugopal Sasha and Digweed played together in 2017 for three hours on the glade stage on the sat. Was ‘front and centre’. Was preceded by a whole bedrock line up in the spaceport in the Thursday and Sasha played Bez’s flying bus on the Friday. Even Charlie may played on the Sunday (but missed that one).
Was a brilliant weekend with a million other bits and pieces in between and after.
Haven’t been able to get a ticket since mind.
