We’ve taken an overnight flight to the UK, and a prolific South West based DJ/Remixer/Producer AND Event promoter. Famed for his epic long sets on Mixcloud that kept everyone happy during Covid, we are delighted to welcome him back behind our decks, for his second mix in just over 2 years. A South Coast based Progressive/Techno DJ and producer, Erik’s love affair with electronic music started shortly after he was born. “Music was always being played in the house but it was the long car journeys during the school holidays with Jarre playing that really cemented my love of electronic music.”
Having taken up DJ-ing in the early 90’s, these skills earned him gigs all over the country from clubs to festivals. Erik hosts the burgeoning Studio 3 Sessions via the Mixcloud Live platform with extended sets that take the listeners on a journey down the sonic rabbit hole every week, as well as hosting monthly shows on Frisky and Mixpub.
Equally at home in the studio, Erik’s productions have garnered support from DJs across the spectrum, from Nick Warren to Umek, Cristian Varela to Lexicon Avenue. This year has seen Erik remixing tracks for both Prognosis and Arbor Recordings as well as remixing a track by Meat Katie for Lowering the Tone.
Taking in everything from deep house to techno, progressive trance to spaced out breaks, Erik’s sets are a melting pot of lush soundscapes and haunting melodies sitting side by side with techno beats and energy infused basslines.
