jonattonyeah Homegrove I was familiar with Innervisions (there was a Chateau Flight EP that really made me take note) but didn’t really get around to noticing him as a DJ until the RA Podcast which I guess was 2007 or thereabouts? Very similar to his Body Language mix which I also liked. But yeah I’d say for popularity, the 2016-18 run was probably his peak.
Homegrove His Body Language and Temporary Secretary CDs are fucking brilliant, and it did not hurt at all to get to know them a decade later. Timeless stuff really. Not a huge fan of his Live in Robert Johnson. It’s not bad, but not great either.
alistair Homegrove Temporary secretary? That’s a Paul McCartney classic 😆 Does he name his mixes, labels after great LPs/records?
LT42 I’ll give a listen later, nice one. Did have a giggle though when I flicked through randomly to 1:13:00 and heard bongos and some African lad chanting.
zackster Very much enjoyed that mix, especially the second half. Had a real flow to it as the mixing/track selection made sense. Most of the Dixon sets I’ve listened to are just a serious of tunes with no real direction or anything. Would like this type of sound on a rooftop type party.
Homegrove Loved it from start to finish. Hopefully the audio will pop up somewhere soon, so I don’t have to rip it myself.
Dubman Homegrove The music is good but I couldn’t watch those awful computer graphics same as that Sasha set the other day.
