  • Election 2024: The Fate of Democracy

Dubman I think there’d be more Canadians willing to sign up for the war of 1812 part 2 than he realizes.

Sounds like Colombian presidente has responded to Orange cunts tariffs with same.

Must like his Bobby Brown. Like the cut of his jib!

He told everyone during the election he had nothing to with project 2025.

If Trump presses Canada to become part of the US, then the EU should extend Canada a membership invitation instead. It would actually make a decent amount of sense.

Canada can then help out with Greenland while telling the US to fuck off again.

I read earlier that the UK has first dibs over Greenland before the US could take it over.

Dubman It’s impossible to forget, the tariffs are all we’re hearing about. We’ll see how dedicated he is to tanking the US economy.

Dubman Lol I’m aware. He’s only taken on the authors as advisors and installing them in positions to erode core institutions. I don’t think people are concerned enough about this.

He’s getting ‘smallman doorbell’ value for his flights:

C-130E Aircraft: Costs between $68,000 and $71,000 per hour, resulting in an estimated cost of $816,000 to $852,000 for a similar trip. In contrast, a chartered flight by DHS costs only $8,577 for the same journey.

Dubman the UK has first dibs over Greenland

Is that how it works 😂

Dubman Don’t forget the tariffs coming your way in February.

Tariffs affect consumers. He’s so fucking stupid.

Any of our American friends worried about the price of coffee or bugle today?

Have I seen Sasha in Colombia?

            I have!

Along_the_Wire It might help reduce slave / child labour in China, the fast fashion is one of the worst things for environment.

If he gets oil down to 40 dollars per barrel that will be the way to tackle inflation. Tarriffs will see 4 to 6% quarterly gdp rises in economy if they work, there is more positives to negitives if that happens, esp a very strong dollar which could make imported good still quite cheap. Plus more in employment so more tax revenue.

VR46 in retaliation, other countries will apply tariffs to US goods and services - it’ll turn into a mess that consumers will have to pay for

VR46 Tarriffs are paid by businesses. When was the last time a businesses expenses went up and they didn’t pass that cost on to the consumer? If you think the economic musings of a criminal who couldn’t turn a profit from a casino (while not paying the labour who built it) are going to do anything but drive inflation and tank the US economy, you might be in for a shock.
