With the wildfires and potential flooding, California might be in proper trouble too. Insurance is becoming an issue.

alistair Uninsured, underinsured. And many of the homes in the nicer areas are owned by families who have had them for decades, making them house rich and cash poor. Looks like the rich will win again.

    Millsy nice 👌🏽

    Good read

EU GDP is dead Starmer needs to strike a deal with US. No point siding with EU over tariffs they have been cunts to us the past 5 years. USD is now surging against every other currency which is tackling US inflation already and oil projected to drop to 65 dollars per barrel soon, people need to wake up to fact 5 or 6% gdp quarterly rises are very likely under trump, this is UK’s chance to see some benefit from brexit for once.

VR46 I think the general direction of cuntage has been UK to EU. 50% of our exports are to the EU despite this horrible mess.

VR46 Trump threatens to sabotage all of that with his ridiculous tariff war.

VR46 we side with the US, and then ruin any future better relationship with the EU (which is suicide considering we do more business with them than anywhere else). And then Trump will dump us in a years time over something petty such as Starmer saying he doesn’t like Trumps hair.

Whilst Trump is there, we should be very careful how we deal with him.

alistair If china can negotiate 10%, anything is possible, if we fuck it up with US we will be looking at stagnate growth the next 10 years just like the EU. You have to play both sides well here and the pressure is on Starmer.

VR46 If china can negotiate 10%, anything is possible

Not exactly. China have a LOT of cards to play (access to an enormous market, rare earth exports, that’s to name just two…)

bosstrabs We need to be striking deals with China too, they are the fastest growing economy by far they are the future. EU is dead, yes we do plenty of business with them and its important but no reason why we can’t have a bit of the pie with US and China going forward, labour want fresh new growth here’s the opportunity, esp when it comes to AI.

              Just WAKE UP PEOPLE

Expect both Trump and Starmer will be seeking out the opinions of biz tranz legend Smallman1 at some stage.
