Personally back on the single’s market after a 9 month relationship and am chomping at the bit to start dating again. Then an hour or so after browsing through profiles on Hinge saying things like “Something you need to know about me: I don’t like Coriander” or “The way to my heart is: to make me a cheese toast”, and I’m remembering how mind-numbingly dull and frustrating dating actually is. So what are your dating war stories, and what apps do you use etc etc?

I’ve never actually used a dating app, my approach was normally just to get drunk, expose myself, and simply let nature take its course.

Tinder became a thing a few months after I started dating my now wife. I’m glad, I doubt my psyche could take it.

Just got liked by a couple who want a threesome - Lisa (34) is bisexual and John (67) likes to watch… you lot are missing out

Homegrove yeah you need a thick skin … I was always a bit shite on the apps but really successful when I went on dates - went on something like 30 the last couple of years and pretty much all of them wanted to see me again.. ended up dating a very foxy Brazilian for 9 months. No regrets about leaving my marriage whatsoever.

LT42 how do I attach photos? I’ll upload the profile…

Jules72 I’m waiting for Ed to send the deets on how to upload photos properly, I’m still in the dark.

Got to be an easier way of doing this than using Imgur?

I’m the same. I try posting between the two brackets and it still just posts the web address

see what you’re missing out on lads?

Had a bit of a ‘slut’ phase for a year when my missus and I were on a break.

Just in time for Tinder, and tbh all the ladies I met on there were sound. Was 32 at the time and went on dates with quite a few cougars in their late 30s. Preferred them far more than I did the youngins (who I met through common friends and the clubbing scene), proper entitled shites.

After the year though, my wife and I realised we had put in too much work and understanding in our relationship to start all over again with someone else. No one really stood a chance. I hear Tinder has now become a way for broke hot women to get free meals, but that just might be in the west.

rhouses Tinder’s pretty crap tbh…. lots of sugarbabies looking for a “daddy”, and generally low quality women… the higher quality women gravitate to Bumble and Hinge these days

Jules72 I know the digital marketing head for Bumble in India, seem to be doing really well here. Classy corporate women who aren’t dependent on men for anything monetary.

Would be interesting to hear about your experiences Jules, surely ‘the game’ has been turned on its head with COVID and all.

rhouses apparently lot of people coming out of relationships post lockdown - latter just accelerated the demise of some… I’m hearing from mates that people are definitely dating and it’s easier when the weather’s good as it is here generally at mom… come September and October, and the second wave, fck knows! Anyway, I’m optimistic - first time since my divorce that I haven’t had shit weighing on me….
