alistair remember Pete Tong playing Double 99 - Freakazoid live from Cream on BBC1 of all places. That June Sarpong was co-presenting with Pete - absolutely dreadful!

Funnily enough AVH was on it too…

Proper cringe!

alistair Harry Romero dropped this in Pacha,Ibiza in around 2005 or so. The place went absolutely bananas, one of my favourite clubbing memories

Dropped the 2006 version to close a house & techno event. I bought it a year ago thinking I’d never get a chance to use it but the original was a good track from my high school years. Nearly bottled it, glad I didn’t. Bananas is the word

Dan Nah, his finest was Gandhi Khan. That Danny Howells re-edit is ace.

    Dan His finest hour!

That honestly just sounds like some rando who’s made a youtube meme spoof of ‘Percolator’. Can’t believe it’s an actually released AVH track.

To those that went, what was the Soundgarden area like? Atmosphere looks good on clips. More women too by the looks of it

alistair There were loads of women in the main arena, not really sure why anyone gives a shit when the majority on here are all married and settled down lol

I did like that clip of the security dancing to Bizarre love triangle.

Hursty makes for a better, less moody experience. Bit of eye candy plus they don’t tend to throw their arms around like Ian Curtis when they’re dancing.

        Hursty

Yep, there was plenty where I was, all too young for a mad bastard like me, but they were pretty flirty, which was good fun.

Come to think, there was a girl at the last Bedrock, who gave me a line of coke and showed me her tits, not long after security threw her out, I’m not sure why though.🤣

Soundgarden stage made life difficult. It had a good lineup in the prog/melodic house scene and plenty stayed there but clearly the bigger headliners were all piled into the outdoor stage.

          Herein lies the rub.

          1. Because Soundgarden had a ceiling and walls, the sound hit you better - [15 points]

          2. It was able to be decorated and have DMX lights above you plus a range of ‘garden’ decor like you expect from SG [10 points]

          3. They also reinforced more funktion 1s to near the ‘open exit’ where there was a spillout terrace creating an entirely different outdoor club feel with the sun on you - yet you could clearly see ‘inside the club’ - i’d never seen a layout like this before and sometimes we stood quite far back with the sound crystal clear. [12 points]

          4. At the outdoor exit / terrace they also had higher up stages where people were standing and dancing on (no barriers). I was thinking surely security is going to ask them to get down but many were literally still there 5 hours later - I like this type of freedom / relaxedness about a club and having people surrounding you all up for it just added to the vibe [20 points]

I can’t be 100% but I hope that place IS actually a standalone venue and they built the rest of the festival - I’d love to go back just to that.

@Smallman1 that tune is the Extended Remix of Ashee - Poison. Not the 2 minute long one.

Can you explain the scoring system please Nass?

You have scored the event at 57 points, but not explained what the maximum points total is. Nor have you explained the criteria, and potentially sub-criteria for each item.

I’m only asking as this is going to freak Hugo OUT!
